ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - Officers from the Pegasing Police Sector (Polsek Pegasing) under the Aceh Tengah Police Department (Polres Aceh Tengah) strengthened their public service efforts through a morning Strong-Point activity on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The activity focused on managing traffic flow and assisting students in safely crossing the road along Jalan Takengon–Isak, Kampung Belang Bebangka, Pegasing District, Aceh Tengah Regency.
The activity began at 7:00 a.m. WIB, with police personnel deployed at a location that experiences high public activity during the morning hours. Officers AIPTU M. Yamin and BRIPKA Munzir led the implementation of the operation, focusing on ensuring safety for students and road users during peak traffic conditions.The presence of police officers in the area was aimed at creating a safe, orderly, and smooth traffic flow. In addition to regulating vehicles, officers also assisted students who needed to cross the road so they could reach their schools safely.
Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., through Pegasing Police Chief AKP Ikhsan Kamil, stated that the morning Strong-Point activity is part of routine police services aimed at improving public safety, especially for schoolchildren traveling in the morning.
"Our officers are present to assist students when crossing the road while also managing vehicle traffic so that the community's morning activities can run safely and smoothly," he said.AKP Ikhsan Kamil explained that police officers stationed at several vulnerable traffic points are not only responsible for managing road conditions but also provide direct protection and services to the community.
According to him, the presence of police officers during rush hours is a preventive measure to reduce the risk of traffic accidents. At the same time, it serves as an effort to build closer relations with the public through community-oriented policing services.
Polsek Pegasing deploys personnel at strategic locations with high levels of activity, particularly during hours when residents are traveling to work and schools.
Through the morning Strong-Point activity, officers ensure that vehicles move in an orderly and safe manner. Police personnel also pay special attention to students who require assistance when crossing the main road.This initiative is part of police efforts to maintain security, protection, public order, and smooth traffic conditions (Kamseltibcarlantas) within the jurisdiction of Polsek Pegasing.
AKP Ikhsan Kamil emphasized that police services are not only carried out when security disturbances occur but also through preventive measures that directly address the daily needs of the community."The presence of police officers at locations with high traffic density is also a preventive measure to minimize potential accidents and provide a sense of security for the public," he explained.
The morning Strong-Point activity is one of the police programs designed to ensure residents can carry out their daily activities comfortably, particularly during periods of increased traffic volume.
Besides maintaining smooth traffic conditions, the activity also provides police officers with opportunities to interact directly with residents. The presence of officers in the field is expected to strengthen public trust in the Indonesian National Police (Polri).AKP Ikhsan Kamil stated that these morning service activities will continue to be carried out regularly as a commitment from Polres Aceh Tengah to provide responsive, community-oriented, and accessible police services.
