ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Aceh Tengah Police (Polres Aceh Tengah) marked International Workers' Day 2026 (May Day) with a social initiative titled "Jumat Berbagi" (Friday Sharing). The activity was held on Friday morning, May 1, 2026, along Jalan Lebe Kader in front of the Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters.
The program began at around 09:00 WIB and was directly led by Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Taufiq, accompanied by Head of Intelligence and Security Unit Iptu Denny Dharmawan and other senior officers. The event also drew participation from various community elements, including youth organizations and labor union representatives.Strong Collaboration Across Community Groups

Their involvement reflected a shared commitment to solidarity and peaceful engagement during this year's May Day commemoration in Aceh Tengah.

As part of the program, police officers and partners distributed social assistance packages to daily wage workers, public transport drivers, sanitation workers, parking attendants, and pedestrians. The support included breakfast meals, staple food packages, religious supplies, and free health check-ups.
The outreach was not limited to the police headquarters. Assistance was also extended to work sites such as logistics hubs in Kampung Kemili and Paya Ilang, where workers received direct support in recognition of their contribution to the local economy.

Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Taufiq stated that the initiative reflects a humanitarian approach aimed at strengthening ties between the police and the community, particularly workers and youth groups."May Day does not always have to be associated with demonstrations. Through social activities like this, we aim to create a peaceful atmosphere, foster solidarity, and strengthen the relationship between the police and society," he said.
