LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Construction of the Red-and-White Bridge in Tanjung Raya Hamlet, Binanga Dua Village, Silangkitang Subdistrict, Labuhanbatu Selatan, North Sumatra, officially commenced on Friday, April 24, 2026. The infrastructure project is expected to significantly improve mobility for residents who have long struggled with limited access between villages.
The groundbreaking ceremony was led directly by Silangkitang Police Chief, Iptu Rijaldi. Once completed, the bridge will connect Mandalasena Village and Binanga Dua Village, which have previously been separated by difficult and often impassable routes.

"This is not just a physical bridge, but a bridge of hope. Access is crucial for residents, whether for economic activities, education, or healthcare," said Iptu Rijaldi.
For years, residents, especially during the rainy season, have faced serious challenges traveling between the two villages. These conditions have disrupted economic activities, agricultural distribution, and access to schools and health services.

The groundbreaking event was attended by Deputy Regional Secretary Sarino, acting village heads from Silangkitang Subdistrict, community leaders, Tanjung Raya Hamlet Head Sukrul Ahmadi Ritonga, and the construction team.
The project is being carried out by foreman Pak Lana and three workers. The Silangkitang Police Sector is working closely with local authorities to ensure quality standards and timely completion.
