DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COMThe Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo, commended the implementation of the XXIII Musyawarah Pelayanan (MUPEL) of Permata GBKP held at the GBKP Retreat Center in Suka Makmur Village, Sibolangit Subdistrict, on Friday (May 22, 2026). He emphasized that the gathering serves not only as an organizational forum but also as a vital space for consolidation and regeneration of church youth leadership.

In his remarks, Lom Lom Suwondo warmly welcomed all participants attending MUPEL XXIII, stressing that hosting such a major youth event in Deli Serdang is an honor for the regional government.

"I extend a warm welcome to all participants of MUPEL XXIII of Permata GBKP. It is a great honor for us that this important youth event is being held in Deli Serdang," he stated.

Strengthening the Next Generation of Leaders

The Deputy Regent also expressed appreciation to the Central Committee of Permata GBKP (2022–2026) for its dedication and commitment over the past four years. He expressed hope that the forum would produce new leadership capable of advancing the organization and responding to evolving challenges.

He further highlighted that the Deli Serdang Government's vision of building a healthy, educated, prosperous, religious, and sustainable region requires the involvement of all societal elements, including church youth organizations.

"Youth are the strength and hope of the nation's future. Permata GBKP plays a strategic role in shaping a young generation with faith, integrity, discipline, and a spirit of service," he said.

Karo Regent Antonius Ginting reminded Permata GBKP youth participants to prepare themselves for future leadership roles across various regions, including Karo, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, and even at the national level.

"You are the future leaders. Prepare yourselves well. Success does not come automatically, but through hard work and prayer," he said.

Meanwhile, the speech of the Governor of North Sumatra, delivered by the Acting Head of the North Sumatra Water Resources Agency (SDA), Ir. Gibson Panjaitan, highlighted the strategic role of Permata GBKP in shaping a young generation with strong moral and spiritual foundations.

MUPEL XXIII as the Highest Organizational Forum

Chairman of the Central Committee of Permata GBKP, Rizki Restu Sinuraya, stated that MUPEL XXIII is the organization's highest forum, serving as a platform for program evaluation and determining future direction.

He urged all participants to actively contribute ideas and constructive criticism to strengthen the organization and improve church youth development in a sustainable manner. (IDNC)
