LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The South Labuhanbatu Police have dismantled an online gambling network operating in Torgamba District and arrested a man suspected of acting as a bookmaker in an online Toto gambling operation.

"Following information from the public, our officers promptly conducted an investigation to verify the report. This is part of our swift response to community complaints," AKP Sujono said on Tuesday (19/05/2026) at the South Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters.

The investigation led officers to the suspect on Tuesday (12/05/2026) at around 7:00 p.m. local time. Before reaching the main target location, police intercepted and arrested a man identified by the initials IRIN (58) at Simpang Kampung Baru, Teluk Pinang hamlet, in front of the Royal Permata Hotel.During the search, officers confiscated an OPPO A16 Android smartphone allegedly used to facilitate online gambling transactions.

"Inside the suspect's phone, we found numerous Toto orders from various players. During questioning, he admitted to working as an online Toto bookmaker for approximately one year," AKP Sujono stated.

Preliminary findings show that the suspect received Toto bets and placed them through online gambling platforms SUPER TOGEL and PBB4D.
Police also secured related gambling accounts. The SUPER TOGEL account held a balance of Rp45,705, while the PBB4D account contained Rp159,206. All digital evidence, including the mobile phone and transaction records, has been seized for further investigation.AKP Sujono emphasized that the police will not tolerate any form of gambling within the South Labuhanbatu jurisdiction.

The suspect is currently being held at the South Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters. Investigations are ongoing to identify possible accomplices within the network.
