LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Torgamba Police Sector (Polsek Torgamba) has stepped up its commitment to fostering a healthy, intelligent, and drug-free younger generation by conducting an intensive outreach and prevention program at SMA Negeri 1 Torgamba, Aek Batu Village, Torgamba District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, on Tuesday (May 19, 2026).
The program was led by Police Chief AKP Sunipan Gurusinga, S.H., as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen awareness among students regarding drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, and other negative behaviors that may threaten their future.Early Prevention Efforts in Schools

The session covered several critical topics, including the P4GN (Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking) program, student brawls, illegal street racing, and bullying.
AKP Sunipan Gurusinga emphasized that schools play a vital role in shaping awareness and discipline among young people, making preventive education essential in the academic environment.

In his address, the police chief urged students to firmly reject drug use and remain vigilant against harmful influences.
"Students must have the courage to say no to drugs. Never try them, because once you get involved, it is extremely difficult to escape. Report any form of drug trafficking to the police immediately," said AKP Sunipan Gurusinga.He also reminded students that adolescence is a crucial stage for character building, discipline, and academic achievement, encouraging them to stay focused and avoid negative peer pressure.

The Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Torgamba, Bisler Simatupang, S.Pd, expressed his appreciation for the police initiative and the direct engagement with students.
"We thank the Torgamba Police for this important educational effort. Activities like this help our students better understand the dangers of drugs and negative behavior," he said.The program concluded at around 10:00 WIB in a safe, orderly, and well-controlled atmosphere. The police reaffirmed that such initiatives are part of their continuous commitment to creating a drug-free educational environment.
