Titiek underlined that digital technology plays a crucial role in advancing micro and small enterprises. The rapid development of technology, she said, opens new opportunities—especially for household-based businesses—to improve their economic standing.
"We want to prove that from home, with just a smartphone, you can build a big business. I believe many women here are very creative," she said.
She added that entrepreneurs are no longer limited to physical storefronts. Digital marketing enables products such as crafts, food, and fashion to reach wider markets across Indonesia—from Sabang to Merauke.

Women as Drivers of Economic Strength
Titiek encouraged participants to fully utilize the training to enhance their digital capabilities while strengthening women's economic roles within the family.
"We must become familiar with technology so we can adapt and not fall behind digitally. Do not be afraid to learn," she stressed.
She also urged participants to actively engage with speakers, particularly on strategies for selling through digital marketplaces, maintaining product quality, and ensuring business consistency. Strengthening networks among MSME actors was also highlighted as essential.

Digital Marketing Boosts Competitiveness
The Chairperson of DWP North Sumatra, Evi Novida Ginting, stated that the digital era has significantly transformed marketing strategies, where geographical distance and limited capital are no longer major obstacles.
According to her, digital marketing enables even small home-based businesses to access national and international markets, provided that digital tools are used effectively.
"With creative ideas, persistence, and the right use of technology, we aim to break the perception that small businesses must remain small. With the right strategy, they can achieve significant revenue," she said.
The workshop featured two expert speakers: Paul Agustinus Simamora from the North Sumatra Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, and entrepreneur Koad Chamdi, who shared practical insights on digital marketing strategies. (IDNC)
