BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Wali Nanggroe of Aceh, Tgk. Malik Mahmud Al Haytar, has urged the Aceh provincial government to provide full transparency regarding the recently issued gubernatorial regulation on the Jaminan Kesehatan Aceh (JKA) health insurance program. The call was made during a Coordination Forum of Regional Leadership (Forkopimda) meeting on the implementation and future direction of the JKA program, held at the Wali Nanggroe Palace on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
During the forum, the Wali Nanggroe also requested comprehensive assessments from various institutions regarding the social and political implications of the policy.Clarity Sought Over Policy Direction

Government Cites Data Restructuring as Basis

"These data standards are established at the national level and must be used by all institutions. Several other provinces are also adopting the same approach," he said.
He also pointed to limited fiscal capacity within the provincial government, noting that available funds are earmarked and cannot be freely reallocated.
