LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – The Torgamba Police have once again demonstrated their firm commitment to combating palm oil theft in plantation areas. During an early morning patrol on Thursday, May 14, 2026, officers arrested two men allegedly transporting stolen fresh palm fruit bunches on a license plate–less motorcycle.
The operation is part of an ongoing policing strategy aimed at maintaining public order and curbing theft cases in plantation zones considered vulnerable to criminal activity.Early Morning Sweep in High-Risk Plantation Zones
Read Also:The patrol began at around 05:00 WIB, focusing on several sensitive areas within the PTPN IV Regional I plantation. Officers conducted inspections across Afdeling 1 Torgamba, Afdeling 4 Sei Kebara, Menroet Torgamba, and Simpang Gundaling Torgamba.
The operation was led by Aiptu E. Lubis, alongside Aiptu F. Sinuhaji, Brigpol Sofiadi, and Bripda Torop. In addition to monitoring security conditions, the team urged plantation security personnel to intensify surveillance and conduct regular patrols throughout the plantation zones.
Their preventive efforts eventually led to the detection of suspicious activity in the Simpang Gundaling area, Torgamba.The two suspects were found riding a Honda Beat motorcycle without a license plate while carrying one fresh palm fruit bunch and two sacks of loose palm fruits. Unable to provide documentation or a credible explanation regarding the origin of the goods, both men were taken to the Torgamba Police Station along with the evidence for further investigation.
