JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM – The Jambi Regional Police have reinforced their readiness and security measures through a joint operational briefing held at the Polresta Jambi headquarters. The ceremony was personally led by the Chief of the Jambi Regional Police, Inspector General Pol. Krisno H. Siregar, with a clear focus on preventing illegal street racing and rising street crimes during weekends.
The event was attended by Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Pol. Benny Ali, senior officials of the Jambi Regional Police, and the Chief of Polresta Jambi, Commissioner Kombes Pol. Boy Sutan Binanga Siregar. Hundreds of joint personnel from both the regional and city police forces were deployed to strengthen operational preparedness.

In his address, Inspector General Krisno emphasized that police presence on the streets reflects a strong commitment to public protection. Weekends, when citizens spend time with family and engage in leisure activities, require heightened security attention."The weekend is a time when people relax, travel, or shop with their families. Our primary responsibility is to ensure that all citizens can carry out their activities without fear of disruption or crime," Krisno said.

Joint Patrols and a Humanistic Approach

Meanwhile, Kombes Pol. Boy Sutan Binanga Siregar stated that multiple checkpoints have been established across known hotspots, including major roads, crowded urban areas, and city outskirts. Mobile patrols will also be deployed to detect and respond quickly to security disturbances.
"We are deploying all available personnel to secure areas under Polresta Jambi's jurisdiction. From preventive monitoring to direct action against violations, we are fully prepared. Public cooperation is also crucial," Boy said.He also urged residents to report suspicious activities via the emergency hotline 110 to help maintain collective security.
