DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Deli Serdang Regency Government, Dedi Maswardy SSos MAP, attended the distribution of 2,000 Decrees (SK) under the Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) for the 2026 academic year. The educational assistance was handed over by Member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), dr. Sofyan Tan, at the Sports Hall (GOR) located on Jalan Tanjung Garbus I, Lubuk Pakam District, on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
The distribution of educational assistance is part of efforts to expand access to education for students who require financial support. The Program Indonesia Pintar is a form of government assistance aimed at helping students continue their education without being hindered by family economic challenges.Dedi Maswardy appreciated the implementation of the program, as it provides direct benefits to the community, particularly students across Deli Serdang Regency. He said the PIP assistance not only supports students' educational needs but also contributes to improving the quality of human resources through the education sector.
"The Deli Serdang Regency Government welcomes the distribution of the Program Indonesia Pintar. We hope this assistance will be utilized as effectively as possible to meet students' educational needs, allowing them to continue their studies and achieve their goals," he said.
Dedi explained that the Program Indonesia Pintar is a strategic initiative to ensure students continue to have opportunities to receive proper education. He expressed hope that beneficiaries would use the assistance appropriately to support various school-related needs.
According to him, education is a fundamental foundation in developing a qualified generation. Through collaboration among various stakeholders, including the central government, the DPR RI, regional governments, schools, and communities, access to education for all segments of society can continue to be improved.Meanwhile, Member of Commission X of the DPR RI, dr. Sofyan Tan, emphasized that the Program Indonesia Pintar represents a concrete commitment from the state to guarantee every Indonesian child's right to education.
He stated that a family's economic condition should not become an obstacle for children to continue their education and develop their abilities. Therefore, the government continues to implement assistance programs that can reach a wider segment of society."Through the Program Indonesia Pintar, we want to ensure that no child has to drop out of school due to financial limitations. This assistance must truly be used for educational purposes so students can study well, achieve accomplishments, and realize their future aspirations," Sofyan Tan said.
Sofyan Tan explained that the distribution of PIP assistance was the result of collaboration between the central government, the DPR RI, and regional governments to expand quality and equitable educational access.
He hoped the assistance received would increase students' motivation and strengthen their enthusiasm for learning. In addition to fulfilling educational needs, the program is also a government investment in creating a future generation with skills and competitiveness.The symbolic handover of PIP decrees to schools throughout Lubuk Pakam District was attended by representatives from education and government sectors. Among those present were Head of the Deli Serdang Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BKAD), Baginda Thomas Harahap; Head of the SDABMBK Office, Janso Sipahutar; and Secretary of the Education Office, Samsuar Sinaga.
Also attending the event were Deli Serdang Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) member Indra Silaban, school principals, teachers, parents of students, and Program Indonesia Pintar recipients.
Through the distribution of 2,000 PIP decrees for 2026, the government hopes the benefits of the program can be directly felt by students receiving assistance. The support is expected to help ensure educational continuity and prevent children from leaving school due to financial difficulties.
The Deli Serdang Government continues to strengthen cooperation with various parties so educational programs can be implemented optimally and provide positive impacts for the community.With support from the Program Indonesia Pintar, beneficiary students are expected to become more motivated to learn, improve their achievements, and prepare themselves for a better future.
