DWP Diskominfo North Sumatra Restructures Leadership, Strengthens Organizational Role and Work Programs

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - The leadership structure of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Unit of the North Sumatra Provincial Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo Sumut) has been re-established. The move marks an important moment to revitalize organizational activities and strengthen the DWP's contribution in supporting Diskominfo Sumut's work programs, while improving the welfare of members and their families.

The restructuring of the organizational leadership was carried out during the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit meeting and leadership formation event held at the Transparency Hall of the Diskominfo Sumut Office on Friday, July 24, 2026. The event was attended by board members and members of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit, who committed to actively and consistently implementing the organization's programs.

The Chairperson of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit, Grace Erwin Hotmansah Harahap, stated that the re-establishment of the leadership structure was an important step to strengthen relations among members while developing more targeted work programs.

"Today, we have officially re-established the leadership of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan Unit of Diskominfo Sumut. We will revitalize activities and ensure that Dharma Wanita actively participates in programs that support Diskominfo Sumut, as well as activities aligned with the programs of the DWP North Sumatra Province," Grace said.

Organization Revitalized After Temporary Inactivity

Grace explained that the leadership of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit had previously been inactive for a certain period. This situation became one of the main reasons for rebuilding the organizational structure so that DWP activities could be carried out optimally in the future.

According to her, the new leadership structure will serve as a foundation for building a stronger and more active organization with a clear direction for its activities. Through this new structure, all members are expected to participate more actively in various organizational programs.

"The leadership of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan Unit of Diskominfo Sumut had been inactive for some time. Through this re-establishment, we are rising again, setting a clear direction for our activities, and ensuring that all members can be actively involved," she explained.

She added that DWP is not only a forum for interaction and maintaining relationships among members but also plays an important role in various activities that provide benefits for members' families and the working environment.

Work Programs and Organizational Agenda Established

During the meeting, members agreed on several agendas that will become part of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit's work programs. These include regular meetings, joint savings and social activities involving board members and members, regulations regarding the use of Dharma Wanita uniforms, management of the organization's social media platforms, and preparations for activities commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The commemoration of Indonesia's 81st Independence Anniversary will be carried out through collaboration between the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit and Diskominfo Sumut. This cooperation reflects synergy between a women's organization within the government administration and the institution where its members work.

In addition to agreeing on various activities, Grace also announced the composition of the new leadership of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit, which will oversee the organization's activities moving forward. The structure is expected to support the implementation of planned programs and strengthen coordination among members.

Aligned With DWP North Sumatra Provincial Programs

Grace emphasized that the re-establishment of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit leadership is in line with the commitment of the DWP North Sumatra Province in implementing strategic programs. These programs include strengthening family capacity through education and empowerment initiatives, enhancing women's roles in the public sector, and efforts to improve the quality of life and independence of members.

She expressed hope that the newly formed leadership would be able to carry out its organizational responsibilities effectively and create activities that generate positive impacts for members and the entire Diskominfo Sumut family.

The meeting and formation of the new leadership concluded with a joint commitment from all participants to consistently implement organizational programs. The board members and members of the DWP Diskominfo Sumut Unit also expressed their readiness to support various Dharma Wanita Persatuan activities both at the North Sumatra provincial level and within the Diskominfo Sumut Unit.
