MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Medan Mayor, Rico Waas, has emphasized that the expansion of Grab Indonesia in Medan must align with public needs and deliver measurable benefits for driver partners' welfare.

He also noted that Grab has become an essential part of daily urban life in Medan, supporting mobility while driving the digital economy through delivery services and other platforms.
"We want to understand how far Grab's expansion goes and what community needs it aims to address, so that policy direction can be properly adjusted," Rico Waas said.The meeting was also attended by Head of the Transportation Department Irsan Idris Nasution, Head of the Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry and Trade Office Hendra Ridho Gunawan Siregar, Acting Head of the Manpower Office Ramaddan, and Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Medan Jefri Iswanto.

Rico Waas also encouraged Grab to build stronger collaboration with the Medan City Government through joint programs and public activities involving online motorcycle taxi drivers.
