DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - A moment of pride has emerged for the young generation of Deli Serdang Regency as Yemima Mutiara Caren Sitanggang, the reigning Putri Otonomi Deli Serdang, successfully advanced into the Top 20 selection of Putri Otonomi Indonesia (POI) 2026. Her achievement earned direct recognition from Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan, who received her at the regency office on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Yemima's entry into the Top 20 marks a significant milestone, sparking pride across the region. Hailing from Tanjung Morawa District, Yemima is widely seen as a representation of a young generation that combines competence, knowledge, and strong national competitiveness. Her participation in Putri Otonomi Indonesia 2026 also serves as a platform to introduce the region's potential to a broader audience.

"Congratulations to Yemima for reaching the Top 20. The retreat will be held from June 27 to 29. We are proud that Deli Serdang is represented in this competition," he said.
This moment is seen as a strategic opportunity to showcase regional potential and strengthen Deli Serdang's national image.
"I am optimistic that Yemima can win the title and further elevate Deli Serdang's reputation, including at the event in Bangka Belitung," he added.

He also encouraged young people to take inspiration from her success and continue developing themselves through various competitions and opportunities.
"We are a large regency with immense potential. Our youth can compete with any region," he said.
"We are proud and hope Yemima continues to deliver her best performance and represent Deli Serdang at the national level," she stated.
Government support, along with backing from various institutions, is expected to strengthen Yemima's preparation for the next stages of the competition. Beyond the contest itself, her participation is also seen as an opportunity to promote Deli Serdang's culture, tourism, and identity on a national scale.
Yemima's success underscores the growing competitiveness of the region's young generation. With strong support from both government and the community, hopes remain high for a national title victory.
The audience was attended by several officials, including Head of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office Yudi Hilmawan, Head of Communication and Information Agency Sandra Dewi, and other accompanying staff. (IDNC)
