DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deputy Regent of Lom Lom Suwondo officially took part as a respondent in the 2026 Economic Census held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the official residence of the Deputy Regent in Deli Serdang. The activity is part of the nationwide census program implemented by BPS Deli Serdang in coordination with Indonesia's national statistical authority.
The participation of the deputy regent highlights the local government's strong commitment to supporting a strategic national initiative aimed at capturing a comprehensive picture of Indonesia's real economic conditions, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs/UMKM), which play a vital role in regional economic growth.
The 2026 Economic Census aims to produce accurate and reliable data on the structure of the regional economy. It captures a wide range of sectors, including trade, services, manufacturing, and emerging digital businesses that continue to expand alongside Indonesia's ongoing economic transformation.
"I have personally been recorded in the 2026 Economic Census. I call on all residents and business actors in Deli Serdang to support this program by welcoming enumerators and providing complete, accurate, and honest information," he stated.
He further assured that all collected data will be strictly protected and handled in accordance with applicable regulations, stressing that public trust is essential for producing accurate policy foundations.
BPS Deli Serdang continues to work closely with local governments to ensure that all economic actors—from street vendors to large enterprises—are properly recorded.
With accurate data, governments are expected to formulate more targeted and sustainable development strategies, while investors gain clearer insights into regional economic potential, including opportunities in Deli Serdang.
