DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Government has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating regional development through streamlined licensing services, a more investment-friendly business climate, and strengthened healthcare infrastructure.
The commitment was highlighted by Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan during the groundbreaking ceremony of RSU Rahmad Hidayah on Jalan Limau Manis, Tanjung Morawa District, on Monday (June 15, 2026).The hospital project is considered a strategic initiative aimed at improving access to healthcare services while simultaneously supporting economic growth in Limau Manis and surrounding areas. Addressing guests, Asri Ludin emphasized that efficient licensing procedures are a key driver of regional progress. According to him, local governments must facilitate investors and businesses to encourage greater participation in Deli Serdang's economic development."We are accelerating licensing services to improve public services, particularly in the healthcare sector. Our goal is to speed up development in Tanjung Morawa and especially in Limau Manis," he said.
He added that healthcare facilities not only provide essential medical services but also serve as an integral component of sustainable development with direct economic benefits for local communities.
"This hospital will undoubtedly create employment opportunities. I hope residents from economic deciles 1 to 5 will be given priority in recruitment so the hospital can directly contribute to the welfare of surrounding communities," he said.
In addition to doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals, the facility will require administrative personnel, security officers, cleaning staff, and various supporting workers. The regency administration expects the project to maximize the involvement of local workers so that its economic benefits can be directly felt by nearby communities.
Asri Ludin also expressed confidence that RSU Rahmad Hidayah would become one of the region's leading healthcare institutions."This hospital will become a landmark for Limau Manis and Tanjung Morawa. Beyond improving healthcare services, it will create new jobs and help reduce unemployment in Deli Serdang," he added.
According to Asri Ludin, infrastructure development must go hand in hand with investment growth to maximize benefits for residents.
"If there are no obstacles, road widening on Jalan Limau Manis from Simpang Kayu Besar intersection for approximately one kilometer will begin in July. Similar improvements will also be carried out on Jalan Undian and Tadukan Raga," he explained. The road modernization program is expected to improve access to residential areas, business centers, and public facilities, including the new hospital.
The regent further assured residents that all development budgets allocated under the regional budget had been fully prepared and would be implemented as planned."There are no delayed budget allocations anymore. All funds have been made available. The focus now is on implementation. We want development to move quickly and effectively," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of transparency in public projects to ensure residents can monitor development progress.
"We want investors to feel comfortable doing business in Deli Serdang. Services should not be complicated. We must move quickly to advance the region," he stated.
The regent also highlighted Deli Serdang's strategic advantages, including its mountainous areas, coastal regions, international airport, expanding transportation network, and strategic geographical location as one of North Sumatra's key economic gateways. These strengths, he said, provide a solid foundation for Deli Serdang's transformation into a major investment and economic hub in North Sumatra.
Meanwhile, Rahmad Hidayah Foundation Chairwoman Herawati expressed appreciation to the Deli Serdang Regency Government for supporting the hospital project. She hoped the collaboration between the foundation and the government would accelerate construction so that residents could benefit from improved healthcare services as soon as possible. The groundbreaking ceremony was also attended by members of the Deli Serdang Regional Legislative Council, community leaders, government officials, and representatives of the PKK organizations from Deli Serdang and Tanjung Morawa.
