TWINS BORN ON A BUS: An emotional moment as twins are delivered inside a JRG bus on the Sibanceh Toll Road on Tuesday night, May 12, 2026, moving passengers to tears.

BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM A routine night journey operated by JRG on the Langsa–Banda Aceh route turned into an extraordinary life-saving moment after a pregnant passenger gave birth to twins on the Sibanceh Toll Road on Tuesday night, May 12, 2026. The incident moved fellow passengers and quickly gained attention for the remarkable act of solidarity on board.

The journey took an unexpected turn when passenger Syarifah Mariam suddenly went into labor while the bus was in transit. Panic briefly spread inside the vehicle as the situation escalated rapidly on the highway.

Bus driver Qushairy immediately pulled over at a safe location along the Sibanceh Toll Road and ensured the passenger received urgent assistance without delay.

In a critical moment, fellow passengers stepped in to help. Among them, Handayani, an official from the Kutacane Agriculture Office, played a key role in assisting the delivery.

Remaining calm under pressure, she maintained phone contact with a midwife and carefully followed medical instructions, helping guide the birth process inside the bus under improvised but controlled conditions.

Moments later, the first newborn cried, followed shortly by the second, confirming the safe delivery of twins. The bus cabin was filled with relief and emotion as passengers witnessed the rare mid-journey birth.
