BANDA ACEH | INDTANEWS.COM – The Digital Development Community (Komdigi) held a capacity-building workshop on digital competence and skills at Hermes Hotel Banda Aceh on May 12, 2026. The event brought together hundreds of participants from various community backgrounds to strengthen understanding of digital education amid rapid technological transformation.
Public figure and communication practitioner Safrizal ZA served as the keynote speaker. He also holds the position of Coordinator for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR) in Aceh and Head of the Task Force for accelerated post-disaster recovery and reconstruction efforts in the region in 2026.In his presentation, Safrizal emphasized key insights into information management, public communication, and the responsible use of digital technology. He stressed that digital transformation presents both significant opportunities and serious challenges for society.

Safrizal also highlighted effective public communication strategies, particularly in addressing socially relevant issues. He underlined that transparency and accuracy of information are crucial in building public trust.He further encouraged participants to become active contributors in spreading positive digital content and to take part in combating misinformation, hate speech, and harmful online content.
The chairman of the Komdigi organizing committee stated that the workshop is part of ongoing efforts to support the government in building a healthy, safe, and productive digital ecosystem.
