JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - Marking the 78th anniversary of Indonesia's Women Police (Polwan), policewomen from the Mobile Brigade Unit (Satbrimob) of the Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) demonstrated their social responsibility toward the community. On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the policewomen distributed clean water to residents of the Al-Amin Orphanage at Komering Jaya Complex No. 151, RT 44, Mayang Mangurai Urban Village, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City.

The initiative was part of a series of activities commemorating the 78th anniversary of Polwan and also reflected the Indonesian Police's concern for the needs of the community. The Polwan personnel of Satbrimob Polda Jambi provided clean water to help meet the daily needs of the orphanage's residents.

The assistance is expected to ease the burden on residents of the Al-Amin Orphanage, particularly in meeting their daily water needs. The presence of Polwan in the social initiative also demonstrates that police work is not solely focused on maintaining security and public order, but is also aimed at providing direct assistance to the community.

Clean Water for Daily Needs

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General of Police Krisno H. Siregar, through Jambi Polda Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner of Police Erlan Munaji, said the social initiative carried out by Polwan personnel from Satbrimob was a concrete expression of the police's concern for the community.

According to Erlan, the distribution of clean water also represented the presence of Polwan among the community. The policewomen used the 78th anniversary as an opportunity to share with the public and provide direct assistance to those in need.

"Through this initiative, the Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi want to share with the community and provide direct benefits, particularly by helping meet the clean water needs of the Al-Amin Orphanage. This is part of the Police's commitment to remain present, show concern and provide the best possible service to the community," the Public Relations Chief said.

The initiative was not merely a social program held as part of the 78th anniversary celebrations of Polwan. The distribution of clean water also highlighted the policewomen's attention to the basic needs of the community. By coming directly to the orphanage, the Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi also sought to establish closer contact with residents and strengthen the partnership between the police and the community.

Providing clean water is a form of direct assistance that supports the daily needs of the orphanage's residents. Water plays an important role in numerous everyday activities, ranging from drinking water needs and maintaining the cleanliness of the surroundings to other activities carried out by the orphanage's residents.

Anniversary Strengthens Social Commitment

The 78th anniversary of Polwan also provided an opportunity for the policewomen to further strengthen their commitment to serving society. The Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi used the anniversary to make a positive contribution through a social initiative directly focused on the community.

The Jambi Polda Public Relations Chief said the leadership of Polda Jambi continues to encourage all personnel to provide the best possible service and create tangible benefits for the public. This spirit, he said, is an important part of police work and is also reflected through social activities.

"Jambi Police Chief emphasizes that every member of the Indonesian Police must be able to provide benefits to the community and deliver the best possible service. Social activities such as this are intended to strengthen the relationship between the police and the public while also fostering a spirit of mutual support and social concern," he said in conclusion.

The message is in line with the social initiative carried out by the Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi. The policewomen not only carry out their duties in accordance with their functions and responsibilities, but also take part in humanitarian activities that directly benefit the community.

Social activities also create opportunities for closer interaction between police personnel and residents. Through such initiatives, members of the public can directly see that police officers are concerned about conditions in their surroundings. For Polwan, meanwhile, participation in these activities is part of their service to society beyond their regular duties.

Strengthening Police-Community Relations

The Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi reaffirm their commitment to remaining present for the community through various activities that provide tangible benefits. This commitment is demonstrated not only through their duties in maintaining security and public order, but also through social initiatives that address the concrete needs of residents.

The distribution of clean water to the Al-Amin Orphanage is a clear example of this commitment. The Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi seek to ensure that the 78th anniversary of Polwan does not remain merely a ceremonial occasion, but is also marked by activities whose benefits can be directly felt by the community.

The initiative also helps promote a spirit of mutual support and social concern. Through Polwan, the Indonesian Police can continue to maintain dialogue with the community and build harmonious relationships through various social activities.

As part of this commitment, the Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi are expected to continue playing an active role in social and humanitarian activities. Their presence among the community is part of efforts to strengthen public trust while further developing the relationship between the police and society.

The 78th anniversary of Polwan was therefore not only an occasion to commemorate the history and service of Indonesia's Women Police, but also an opportunity to strengthen social responsibility toward the community. By providing clean water to the Al-Amin Orphanage, the Polwan of Satbrimob Polda Jambi demonstrated that police service can also be expressed through simple initiatives that deliver direct benefits to the public.
