The delegation then visited the construction site of a borewell in Emplasmen Kualanamu Village, Beringin District.
Both infrastructure projects were implemented under the TNI Community Service Program (Bakti TNI). They are intended to improve public mobility while helping meet residents' need for clean water. The projects also demonstrate cooperation between the military, regional government, and local communities in developing facilities aimed directly at addressing people's basic needs.Lom Lom expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian Army (TNI Angkatan Darat) and President Prabowo Subianto for their attention and support for the people of Deli Serdang. He said both the bridge construction and the provision of a clean water source would deliver tangible benefits to residents.
"On behalf of the Deli Serdang Regency Government, we thank the TNI Angkatan Darat and President Prabowo Subianto for the attention and support extended to the people of Deli Serdang. This program provides concrete benefits, both through the construction of the bridge and the provision of clean water," Lom Lom said.The bridge connects Dusun I and Dusun II in Tumpatan Nibung Village with Wonosari Village. It replaces the previous access route, which could no longer be used properly by residents.
With the new bridge in place, residents now have easier access for their daily activities. The connection not only improves mobility but also helps people reach schools, plantations, trading areas, and various social facilities.The bridge construction under the Bakti TNI program represents support for basic infrastructure needs in rural areas. Community involvement in the construction process also strengthens ties between local residents and TNI personnel.
Following the inauguration of the Perintis Suspension Bridge, the Deli Serdang Deputy Regent, the Commander of Military Command I/Bukit Barisan, and their delegation continued their visit to inspect the construction of a borewell in Emplasmen Kualanamu Village, Beringin District.
TNI personnel are constructing the borewell together with local residents to meet the clean water needs of people in Emplasmen Kualanamu. The well is expected to provide water for 44 families.
The development of the water source is part of the Bakti TNI program, which focuses on meeting the basic needs of communities. The borewell is expected to provide residents who depend on it with easier and more adequate access to clean water.Commander of Military Command I/Bukit Barisan, Major General TNI Hendy Antariksa, said the TNI clean water program in North Sumatra had now reached 524 locations. More than 144,000 people, or approximately 38,000 families, have benefited from the program.
Specifically, the borewell being constructed in Emplasmen Kualanamu Village is expected to serve 44 families."This program is part of our efforts to provide people with easier and more adequate access to clean water. We hope residents can feel its benefits directly," he said.
Hendy emphasized that the successful construction of the bridge and water infrastructure requires cooperation among various parties. Collaboration between the TNI, regional government, and local communities is a key factor in ensuring development programs are properly implemented and deliver benefits to the public.
Deli Serdang Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo emphasized that the regional government would continue strengthening its cooperation with the TNI in developing the region. The collaboration is expected to help provide access for residents, meet basic needs, and improve the welfare of the community.
