DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Regent of Deli Serdang, Asri Ludin Tambunan, emphasized the importance of solidarity and unity within the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) during the party's district assembly (Muscab) held at Taman Cadika Hall in Lubuk Pakam on Monday (April 6, 2026).
In his remarks, he expressed hope that the Muscab would produce capable leadership that delivers tangible benefits to the people of Deli Serdang. He stressed that political parties must be able to develop qualified cadres who are not only organizationally strong but also socially responsible.
"I hope PKB will continue to put forward its best cadres for the people of Deli Serdang. Whoever is elected will be the right choice to lead the party into the future," he said.

Asri Ludin Tambunan also highlighted the need to maintain internal cohesion within the party. According to him, all stakeholders share the same goal—advancing the future of Deli Serdang.

PKB Urged to Become a Modern Party
The event was officially opened by the Chairman of PKB North Sumatra Regional Board (DPW), Ashari Tambunan. In his speech, he underlined the importance of transforming PKB into a modern, responsive, and people-oriented political party.
"PKB is the legacy of the struggle of religious scholars and community leaders. We must uphold the founders' ideals by continuing to promote progress and public welfare," he said.

Ashari, who also serves as a member of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, expressed optimism that the Muscab would run smoothly and produce strategic decisions for the future of both the party and the region.
"I wish you all a productive deliberation. May today's Muscab proceed successfully," he added.

Earlier, Deli Serdang PKB DPC Chairman Said Hadi apologized for any shortcomings during his tenure. He described the Muscab as a crucial moment to determine the party's future political direction.
"Let us remain united, strengthen our solidarity, and prioritize the interests of the community over personal or group agendas. Differences in opinion are natural, but future challenges require us to work hard, wisely, and sincerely," he said.
The event was attended by members of the regional legislative council, as well as representatives from other political parties, including PDIP, PBB, Hanura, and PKS. Members of PKB's Dewan Syuro at both provincial and district levels were also present. (IDNC)
