STRATEGIC BRIEFING: Acting Head of Operations Bureau of Polda Jambi, Kombes Pol. Yoga Yulian, provides direction on objectives and strategies for “Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2026” during the Latpraops session.

JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM The Regional Police of Jambi (Polda Jambi) has stepped up preparations for the "Latihan Pra Operasi (Latpraops) Patuh Siginjai 2026," a key preparatory phase ahead of the upcoming nationwide traffic enforcement campaign, "Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2026." The operation is scheduled to run for 14 days and aims to enhance road discipline while reducing traffic violations and accident rates across the region.

The training session was held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the third floor of the Siginjai Building in Jambi. It serves as a structured and measurable readiness exercise to ensure all personnel are fully prepared for field deployment during the operation period.

Operational Preparation and Strategic Alignment

The traffic campaign will officially take place from June 8 to June 21, 2026, and will begin with a formal troop deployment ceremony on June 8, 2026. The initiative is designed to improve public compliance with traffic regulations and strengthen law enforcement effectiveness through coordinated operational planning.

The Latpraops session was led by Kombes Pol. Yoga Yulian, acting Head of the Operations Bureau, and attended by the Director of Traffic, Kombes Pol. Adi Benny Cahyono, operational task force leaders, officers, and supporting personnel.

Unified Enforcement Strategy for Field Operations

In his remarks, Kombes Pol. Yoga Yulian emphasized that the Latpraops serves as a crucial platform to unify understanding among all personnel before the operation begins. He noted that the 14-day enforcement campaign will prioritize structured and technology-based policing methods.

A key focus will be placed on traffic violations committed by motorists attempting to evade electronic surveillance systems. These include altered, concealed, or improperly replaced license plates that do not comply with legal standards.

"The Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2026 carries the theme of optimizing electronic law enforcement. It combines preventive, preemptive, and repressive measures to improve road safety and reduce violations," he stated.

The police highlight that the integration of technology is expected to significantly enhance enforcement efficiency amid the growing use of electronic monitoring systems.

Enforcement Beyond ETLE Coverage Areas

The Director of Traffic of Polda Jambi, Kombes Pol. Adi Benny Cahyono, reaffirmed that traffic units will continue to enforce regulations consistently across all jurisdictions. In areas not yet covered by the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system, manual enforcement will remain in place.

Special attention will be given to vehicles using illegal or manipulated license plates, including counterfeit plates, missing registration numbers, or improperly modified plates. Such violations are considered serious as they hinder vehicle identification and compromise law enforcement efforts.

Prevention, Education, and Public Awareness

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar, through spokesperson Kombes Pol. Erlan Munaji, underlined the strategic importance of the Latpraops in ensuring unified operational readiness. A shared understanding among personnel is seen as essential for the success of the operation.

He added that the initiative is not solely focused on enforcement but also emphasizes education and preventive outreach. Officers are expected to engage the public in raising awareness about road safety and compliance.

"All personnel must clearly understand the objectives, procedures, and operational flow. Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2026 emphasizes not only enforcement but also education and prevention to improve traffic safety," said Kombes Pol. Erlan Munaji.

He also urged the public to actively support traffic safety efforts by obeying regulations, carrying complete vehicle documentation, and avoiding risky violations.

Goal: Safer Roads and Fewer Accidents

Polda Jambi expects the Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2026 to significantly reduce traffic violations and road accidents across the province. Increased discipline among road users is projected to create a safer and more orderly traffic environment.

The initiative also aims to contribute to a reduction in traffic-related fatalities and support public order stability ahead of the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara celebrations in 2026. (IDNC)
