JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Jambi Regional Police (Polda Jambi) held a National Assembly (Apell of the Nation) under the "Sabuk Kamtibmas" (Public Security Belt) program on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Jambi City Hall. The event carried the theme: "Through unity and care, we can create a safe, comfortable, and disturbance-free environment."
The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders from across Jambi City. Among the key figures in attendance were Mayor Dr. dr. H. Maulana, Danrem 042/Gapu Brigjen TNI Nyamin, Deputy Chief of Jambi Police Brigjen Pol. Benny Ali, as well as representatives from the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), local government, and law enforcement agencies.Community elements were also strongly represented, including youth organizations, civil society groups, religious leaders, the Neighbourhood Association Forum (Forum RT), village heads, the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), traditional institutions, and young people from across the city.

The assembly opened with the Indonesian national anthem, followed by troop greetings, an operational report by the commander, a troop inspection, and the reading of the "Sabuk Kamtibmas" pledge by the head of the Lembaga Adat Melayu Jambi.
Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Krisno H. Siregar emphasized that the initiative was not merely symbolic, but a real commitment to maintaining public order and safety through collective action.He stressed that security cannot be achieved by the police and military alone, but requires active participation from all layers of society.

Awards and Strengthened Cooperation
Following the ceremony, the Mayor of Jambi received an award for his contribution to the successful implementation of the "Kampung Bahagia" program and the maintenance of stable public security. The event continued with a group photo session and the signing of a joint agreement to strengthen inter-agency cooperation.Head of Public Relations of Polda Jambi, Kombes Pol. Erlan Munaji, said the initiative represents a concrete form of cross-sector collaboration aimed at reducing street crime, drug trafficking, motorcycle gang activity, illegal street racing, and the spread of fake news.
