JAKARTA | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Families of state violence victims, Eva Meliani Br. Pasaribu and Lenny Damanik, organized a solidarity action in support of Andrie Yunus, deputy coordinator of KontraS, who survived an alleged acid attack attempt by military personnel (TNI). The demonstration called on the Constitutional Court to approve the Judicial Review of the TNI Law and Military Court regulations.
The event took place in front of the Constitutional Court building in Jakarta, coinciding with the hearing on the Judicial Review of the TNI Law.United Against Injustice

"We demand not only moral support but also that law enforcement fully investigate the case up to the intellectual perpetrators, not just punish the local offenders," Eva said.
As petitioners of a Judicial Review on the Military Court Law and witnesses in the material review of the TNI Law, they emphasized that the acid attack on Andrie Yunus must be tried in a civil court, not a military tribunal, citing military courts' history of opacity, lack of independence, and low victim-friendliness.LBH Medan Calls for Full Investigation

"The targeted acid attack to the face shows intent that could lead to death," he stated.
The Military Police (Puspom TNI) has submitted the files and four suspects to the Military Prosecutor's Office II-07 in Jakarta, but additional involvement is suspected. A civil society investigation points to 16 potential participants, both civilian and military.Irvan stressed that the case constitutes a human rights violation.
