DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Deli Serdang regional government, together with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri), has intensified security preparations for the Takbiran night ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. The coordination was carried out through a nationwide video conference led by Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Friday (March 20, 2026).

The Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo, along with Deli Serdang Police Chief Hendria Lesmana, participated in the coordination meeting from the Security and Monitoring Post at Lapangan Segitiga, Lubuk Pakam. The virtual link connected them directly to the central command post at Lapangan Merdeka, Medan City, where Agus Subiyanto was also present.

Strengthened Security and Public Order Measures

During the nationwide coordination, the National Police Chief and TNI Commander reviewed the readiness of security forces across various regions in Indonesia. The focus was placed on the operational status of integrated command posts, traffic management, and overall public order and security (Kamtibmas).

Authorities also emphasized preventive measures against potential traffic congestion, excessive motorbike convoys, and the use of fireworks—activities commonly associated with Takbiran night celebrations.

Multi-Agency Collaboration for Safe Celebrations

Security institutions highlighted the importance of strong synergy between the police and the military to ensure a safe and orderly Eid celebration. The national coordination is expected to enable early detection and swift prevention of potential disturbances.

"We must ensure that all citizens can celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably. That is why we continue to strengthen coordination with the TNI, Polri, and all relevant stakeholders," said Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo.

He further stressed that the collaboration is not merely ceremonial but involves real operational measures on the ground.

"This synergy represents a tangible form of state presence in society. We aim to ensure that every potential risk can be mitigated through solid cooperation," he added.

Deli Serdang Police Chief, Hendria Lesmana, stated that personnel have been deployed at strategic locations, including major roads and public areas.

"We have established security and service posts along main routes, public spaces, and traffic congestion points. Our personnel are also prepared to handle disruptions such as excessive convoys, fireworks, and other security issues," he said.

Additional support is provided by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Transportation Agency, Health Office, and Fire Department. All institutions are working in an integrated manner to ensure a smooth and safe Takbiran night across the region.
