ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Aceh Tengah Police under the authority of the Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh) has issued a Wanted Persons List (Daftar Pencarian Orang/DPO) for a suspect identified by the initials EDS. The man is suspected of being involved in an alleged criminal offense involving the mistreatment of a minor and the alleged unlawful taking of a mobile phone belonging to the child.
The Aceh Tengah Police took this step after investigators officially summoned the suspect on two occasions. However, EDS failed to appear at either summons and did not provide any valid reason or legally recognized explanation for his absence. The publication of the DPO is part of the investigators' efforts to ensure that the legal process continues in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.The case began with an alleged dispute between the suspect and the victim, which allegedly escalated into physical abuse and the taking of the victim's mobile phone. The incident reportedly occurred on May 7, 2026, when both individuals met in the Takengon area.
Following the incident, the victim's parents formally reported the case to the Aceh Tengah Police. The report was subsequently handled by investigators from the Satreskrim through a series of investigative and examination procedures.Investigators are continuing various measures to uncover the facts of the case. One of these measures is the issuance of a DPO against EDS after the suspect failed to comply with two official summonses issued by investigators.
"We urge members of the public who have information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect or who can provide details that may support the investigation process to immediately contact investigators from the Satreskrim Polres Aceh Tengah or the nearest police station. Every piece of information will help accelerate the resolution of this case," said AKP Abdul Mufakhir.The police hope that the public will actively participate by providing information regarding EDS's whereabouts. Reports and tips from the community are considered an important factor in accelerating the handling of the case.
In addition to requesting public assistance, the Aceh Tengah Police have called on EDS to act cooperatively and immediately report to investigators from the Satreskrim Polres Aceh Tengah to undergo the legal process.
