Pulau Buru Sends 2,000 Bottles of Eucalyptus Oil to Aceh Disaster Victims

BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Government of Pulau Buru Regency in Maluku Province has extended humanitarian assistance to victims of hydrometeorological disasters in Aceh. A total of 2,000 bottles of eucalyptus oil were delivered as part of health support efforts for affected communities.

Health Aid from Maluku for Aceh

The 100-milliliter bottles of eucalyptus oil were symbolically handed over by the Head of the Pulau Buru Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), M. TH. Al Affandy. The assistance was received by the Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Government, M. Nasir, during an official ceremony held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Aceh Government Disaster Recovery Command Post.

Nasir expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by Pulau Buru, emphasizing that the assistance is highly meaningful for residents in evacuation shelters and affected areas.

"We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government of Pulau Buru. This is a strong symbol of brotherhood that bridges the distance between Maluku and Aceh," Nasir said.

Message of Solidarity from the Aceh Government

Nasir also conveyed a special message from Aceh Governor H. Muzakir Manaf, noting that the assistance plays an important role in strengthening community resilience during the post-disaster recovery phase.

"Please convey the appreciation of Governor of Aceh, H. Muzakir Manaf, on behalf of the government and the people of Aceh. This support means a great deal to us during this recovery period," he added.

Head of BPBD Pulau Buru, M. TH. Al Affandy, stated that the aid reflects a strong sense of solidarity and social responsibility toward disaster victims in Aceh.

He explained that the eucalyptus oil is a high-quality local product from Pulau Buru, traditionally used to help relieve various health complaints.

"This assistance is intended to help ease health issues, particularly those arising from extreme weather conditions and post-disaster situations in Aceh," Affandy said. (IDNC)
