DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deli Serdang Regency Government has ensured comprehensive support for 80 participants and mentors from Deli Serdang who will take part in the 12th National Jamboree in Cibubur. The support was conveyed by Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan during a luncheon with the participants at the Cadika Lubuk Pakam Hall on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Asri Ludin, who also serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Deli Serdang Scout Movement (Mabicab), stated that the Deli Serdang Government would cover all necessary needs for participants during the 12th National Jamboree, which will take place from August 13 to 20, 2026, in Cibubur.The assistance provided includes participant equipment, travel preparations, flight tickets, and pocket money amounting to Rp2.12 million for each participant. This support reflects the Deli Serdang Government's commitment to providing young people with opportunities to gain valuable experiences, build confidence, and strengthen their motivation to achieve their future goals.
Asri Ludin explained that the regional government's assistance is aimed at ensuring participants can take part in the National Jamboree comfortably without placing financial pressure on their families.
"I and the Deputy Regent want the participants to be more confident and better prepared when joining the Jamboree, without having to worry about travel expenses that could become a burden for their families," he said.He encouraged the participants to make the most of this opportunity by expanding their experiences, gaining new knowledge, and building connections with fellow participants from various regions across Indonesia.
Before departing for the 12th National Jamboree venue in Cibubur on August 10, 2026, the participants will also visit several educational and historical sites, including the National Monument (Monas) and Ancol. They will also have the opportunity to visit the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) building."This is so that the young generation can develop great hopes and aspirations that go far beyond their previous expectations," he said.
The Regent expressed his hope that participation in the National Jamboree would strengthen the character of the younger generation, increase their confidence, develop leadership skills, and help them positively represent the name of Deli Serdang Regency.
In addition to supporting participation in the 12th National Jamboree, the Deli Serdang Government is also paying special attention to the continued educational development of outstanding participants.
Asri Ludin stated that participants from Deli Serdang who achieve success at the National Jamboree will have the opportunity to receive government education scholarships to continue their studies up to university level."This should not stop only after completing senior high school. If they continue to demonstrate good achievements, we will also support their university education," he emphasized.
The Regent explained that the Deli Serdang Government continues to manage its budget with a focus on creating direct benefits for the community, particularly in improving the quality of human resources.Furthermore, the Deli Serdang Government has committed to supporting two participants who will later be selected to represent Indonesia at the International Jamboree in Poland.
This assistance is expected to increase participants' motivation to continue achieving excellence and developing their abilities in various fields.
Deli Serdang Deputy Regent and Deputy Chairman of the Scout Movement's Mabicab, Lom Lom Suwondo SS, urged all participants to maintain the responsibility and trust placed upon them as the region's best representatives.
He reminded participants to maintain solidarity, unity, and mutual care throughout all activities of the 12th National Jamboree."Maintain the solidarity and strength of all members. We are the Deli Serdang team traveling there. Please preserve the good name of the region, look after one another, and support each other. Together, we are a strong and united team," he said.
Lom Lom Suwondo added that the Deli Serdang Government would ensure all participant needs were fulfilled so that parents would not have to worry about equipment or travel preparations."All necessary equipment will be provided, so participants and their parents no longer need to worry about what must still be prepared for the youths' journey to Cibubur," he concluded.
A total of 80 participants and mentors from Deli Serdang for the 12th National Jamboree are scheduled to depart for Cibubur on August 10, 2026. Prior to departure, the Deli Serdang Government symbolically handed over travel equipment, including bags, jackets, and pocket money, to the participants.
