DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM – The Deli Serdang Regency Government has welcomed the participation of Komando Ojol Indonesia Raya (KOJIRA) North Sumatra in its weekly environmental clean-up program. The joint activity was held on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Kenangan Subdistrict, Percut Sei Tuan District.

At the same time, a new waste-sorting innovation known as the ASANO system was tested at the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Waste Processing Site (TPS3R) in Percut Sei Tuan District.
"Today, we are together with KOJIRA North Sumatra in Perumnas Mandala as part of our agreement to conduct a social environmental clean-up. We also introduced a new device at the TPS3R facility," said Deli Serdang Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan, accompanied by Deputy Regent Lom Lom Suwondo.

Asri Ludin Tambunan emphasized that the partnership with KOJIRA represents a new milestone in strengthening environmental governance in Deli Serdang. He also highlighted the importance of community involvement, particularly in improving the welfare of online motorcycle taxi drivers.
"I hope this collaboration with KOJIRA will become a new symbol of waste and environmental management in Deli Serdang Regency, while also contributing to the welfare of online motorcycle taxi drivers," he said.

In addition to the clean-up activity, participants also inspected a newly renovated public park in the area. The regency government further distributed 15 waste-transport motorcycle rickshaws (motorized carts) to Percut Sei Tuan District to support local waste management operations.Head of the Deli Serdang Environmental Agency, Rio Laka Dewa, stated that the ASANO system is currently undergoing a trial phase in collaboration with Waste4Change.
