JAKARTA | INDATANEWS.COM - The Deputy Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, held a meeting on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Jakarta with UAE Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulla Salem Al-Dhaheri. The discussion explored potential cooperation between the Aceh provincial government and the UAE in key strategic sectors, including environment, energy, and tourism.
During the meeting, Fadhlullah emphasized the importance of international partnerships in advancing sustainable development in Aceh. He particularly highlighted the urgency of protecting the Gunung Leuser ecosystem, widely regarded as one of the world's vital "green lungs" and a globally significant biodiversity reserve.
The talks also underscored the importance of strengthening environmental conservation efforts through collaborative initiatives that balance ecological protection with economic development.
