BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Aceh government is intensifying efforts to modernize its regional financial sector by pushing forward the digital transformation of Bank Aceh Syariah. Governor Muzakir Manaf has called for faster implementation of digital banking systems to ensure more efficient, secure, and accessible services for the public.
The directive was delivered during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) for the 2025 fiscal year, held at the Governor's Meuligoe in Banda Aceh on Monday, April 13, 2026.
The meeting served as a strategic forum to evaluate the bank's performance and future direction, with the governor emphasizing the need for transparent and professional accountability reports that reflect strong corporate governance.

During the session, Muzakir Manaf stressed that the RUPS plays a crucial role in assessing institutional performance and strengthening public trust.

He urged the management of Bank Aceh Syariah to maintain high standards of transparency and professionalism in its financial reporting and governance practices.
The meeting was attended by Vice Governor Fadhlullah, Provincial Secretary M. Nasir, Bank Director Fadhil Ilyas, and representatives from district and municipal governments across Aceh.
Digitalization and MSME Financing Drive Future Growth
Governor Muzakir Manaf highlighted that digital innovation is a key pillar for the bank's long-term competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic financial sector.
He emphasized the need for fast, simple, and secure transaction systems, while ensuring stronger protection of customer data and deposits through advanced digital infrastructure.
Beyond digitalization, the governor also underscored the importance of expanding credit access to productive sectors, particularly Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which remain the backbone of the regional economy.
The discussions also covered the bank's 2026–2028 business plan, focusing on global adaptation, sound risk management, and improved corporate governance standards. (IDNC)
