ACEH BESAR | INDATANEWS.COM - The Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf, paid a condolence visit on Sunday, June 21, 2026, to the mourning house of the late former Governor of Aceh (2012–2017), Dr. Zaini Abdullah, in Gampong Garot, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. His presence was regarded as a final tribute and an expression of deep sympathy for the passing of a prominent figure in Aceh's governmental and development history.
Since his arrival, the atmosphere of mourning was strongly felt at the deceased's residence. Numerous mourners from various social backgrounds gathered to pay their last respects. Governor Muzakir Manaf was received by the family of the deceased, including his brother Hasbi Abdullah and his wife, Umi Niazah A. Hamid. On this occasion, the governor personally conveyed his condolences and offered prayers for the deceased, asking that he be granted an honorable place in the presence of Allah SWT.

In an emotionally charged atmosphere, the governor also engaged in dialogue with the family and close relatives of the deceased. Despite the grief, the exchange took place in a warm and respectful tone. He encouraged the family to remain strong and expressed hope that they would find patience and resilience during this difficult time.
The spokesperson for the Aceh Government, Teuku Kamaruzzaman, known as Ampon Man, emphasized that the governor's presence reflected sincere appreciation for the deceased's contributions.

He added that the Aceh Government regards the late leader as a central figure in the region's development process, particularly during the transition toward peace and stability. His contributions remain deeply embedded in both administrative history and the collective memory of the people.
Ampon Man further noted that the passing of Dr. Zaini Abdullah leaves a significant void, while his ideas, dedication, and contributions will continue to shape Aceh's future development.
Governor Muzakir Manaf also called on the public to pray for the deceased. He expressed hope that all of the deceased's good deeds would be accepted by Allah SWT, his shortcomings forgiven, and his family granted patience and strength.
"His passing is undoubtedly a great loss for Aceh's society. However, his legacy, thoughts, and dedication will remain an integral part of Aceh's development history and will be remembered," Ampon Man added.
Before departing, the governor offered a final prayer and paid his respects once more. The mourning ceremony was marked by a deeply emotional atmosphere, becoming a symbol of the Aceh Government's appreciation for the life work of a man who devoted his life to regional development.
