KARTINI DAY CELEBRATION 2026: FJPI North Sumatra marks Kartini Day with the interactive quiz “Cerdas Ceria” at Serayu Coffee and Space in Medan on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The event created an educational and friendly atmosphere for women journalists.

MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Indonesian Women Journalists Forum (FJPI) North Sumatra marked Kartini Day with a distinctive and engaging format. The celebration, themed "Cerdas Ceria" (Smart and Cheerful), was held at Serayu Coffee and Space in Medan, creating a warm, interactive, and educational atmosphere for women journalists.

Interactive Quiz Brings Journalistic Challenge

FJPI North Sumatra transformed the Kartini Day commemoration into an interactive quiz competition designed to test members' journalistic knowledge. The questions covered general press literacy, journalistic ethics, and the history of FJPI.

Four teams, each consisting of two participants, competed in the main session. The format encouraged analytical thinking and a deeper understanding of the evolving role of women journalists in the digital era.

Chairperson of the organizing committee, Sri Endang Lasmiaty, said the quiz was intentionally designed to create a more engaging and meaningful celebration.

"We want to celebrate Kartini Day in a fun yet intellectually stimulating way. Through this quiz, we are reminded again of Kartini's values, which are reflected in the work of today's women journalists," she said.
