Dawn Prayer Reinforces Social Unity

The program opened with a communal dawn prayer held in a calm and spiritual atmosphere. Worshippers filled the mosque in the early hours, reflecting strong religious devotion and unity. Police officers, government officials, and religious leaders sat together without hierarchy, symbolizing close social cohesion in Aceh Tengah.

Following the prayer session, Kompol Samsir delivered remarks addressing key public security concerns.

Drug Abuse and Digital Risks Among Youth Highlighted

In his address, Samsir emphasized two major contemporary challenges: drug abuse and the negative impact of digital media on young people.

He stressed that drugs not only damage physical health but also disrupt families and weaken social structures. He also warned about uncontrolled digital consumption, which can expose youth to harmful content and behavioral risks.

"The problems of drugs and digital misuse are shared challenges that require collective attention from all elements of society," Samsir stated.

He urged religious leaders, traditional figures, village heads, and parents to strengthen supervision and instill positive values within families to protect the younger generation.

Collective Responsibility for Public Safety

Samsir further underlined that maintaining public security cannot rest on the police alone, but requires strong collaboration among all community elements to create a safe and harmonious environment.

He also encouraged young people to use technology responsibly, particularly for education, skill development, and positive knowledge sharing.

Through the "Safari Subuh Rabu Berkah" initiative, the Aceh Tengah Police aim to further deepen community cooperation while promoting a stable security environment and strengthening awareness on drug prevention.

The program reflects the police institution's role not only as a law enforcement body but also as an active social partner in fostering peace and public welfare in Aceh Tengah. (IDNC)
