MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM - North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution attended a thanksgiving ceremony and the inauguration of the new office building of the North Sumatra Regional Executive Board of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The building, located on Jalan Kenanga in Medan, was officially inaugurated by PKS President Almuzzammil Yusuf.

The new office gives PKS in North Sumatra greater opportunities to strengthen its organizational consolidation, cadre development and public services. The North Sumatra Provincial Government also views the new facility as an additional space for closer communication and cooperation in regional development.

At the event, Bobby Nasution praised the utilization of the new PKS office. In his view, the structured layout of the office, including dedicated areas for cadre training, demonstrates the party's attention to developing human resources within its organization.

Bobby emphasized that cadre training plays an important role in developing qualified individuals who can contribute to society. Therefore, he opened the door to cooperation between the North Sumatra Provincial Government and PKS in various areas of development and public services.

Bobby Nasution Opens the Door to Cooperation

The North Sumatra governor said the regional government needs contributions from various elements of society and political organizations to advance development more effectively. According to Bobby, communication and joint efforts with the government can help officials better understand the needs of the people while developing measures that directly benefit the community.

"The North Sumatra Provincial Government is ready to receive input, criticism and suggestions for activities that we can carry out together. Our goal of making North Sumatra a region blessed by Allah SWT can truly be achieved through joint efforts and cooperation," Bobby said.

Bobby said cooperation should not be limited to ceremonial events but must also be reflected in concrete programs that address the interests of the people. The government has a responsibility to ensure that various development programs are properly implemented and contribute to improving public welfare.

In this regard, Bobby welcomed the presence of the new PKS office in North Sumatra, which is equipped with facilities to support organizational activities and cadre training. He expressed hope that the facilities would be utilized optimally to strengthen the capabilities of party cadres while expanding PKS's contribution to society in North Sumatra.

Regional development, Bobby continued, requires the involvement of many stakeholders. The government cannot work alone, as various challenges facing society require synergy, communication and ideas from different groups committed to advancing North Sumatra.

The presence of PKS leaders at the event also reflected the existing channel of communication between the regional government and the political party. Such cooperation could become part of efforts to build constructive relations, particularly in gathering public aspirations and supporting development programs.

Almuzzammil Highlights the Importance of Leadership

Meanwhile, PKS President Almuzzammil Yusuf, in his speech, emphasized the importance of leadership oriented toward public welfare. He said leaders play an important role in creating prosperity while also giving people a sense of security.

Almuzzammil summarized the fundamental goals of public services and political leadership into two basic needs of the people: freedom from hunger and protection from fear. In his view, leaders, particularly executive officials, have a major influence in achieving these two goals through government policies and public services.

"The secret of public service and good leadership can be reduced to two words: freeing people from hunger and protecting them from fear. Who has the greatest influence in realizing this grace? Leadership, especially the executive," Almuzzammil Yusuf said.

The statement underscores the provision of public services as an important measure of the success of political leadership. According to Almuzzammil, the government must ensure that its policies meet the basic needs of the people and provide security in their daily lives.

The message also relates to the importance of cooperation between the government and various political and social stakeholders. Good cooperation that remains consistently focused on the public interest can expand the reach of government programs while providing the government with additional perspectives from the community.

New Office to Become Cadre Training Center

The chairman of the North Sumatra PKS Regional Executive Board, Andy Pranata, said the new office is an important part of strengthening PKS's organization in North Sumatra. He expressed hope that the new facilities would increase the productivity of party officials and cadres in implementing various organizational programs.

Andy also views the office as a central facility for cadre training. With better-equipped facilities, PKS in North Sumatra can more effectively expand its cadre training and development programs.

In addition to internal organizational activities, Andy hopes the new office will also help optimize public services in North Sumatra. In his view, the facility should provide added value to the activities of party officials and cadres, particularly in various initiatives directly connected to the community.

The inauguration of the North Sumatra DPTW-PKS office therefore marked more than the opening of a new building. The event also brought representatives of the regional government and PKS leadership together in a shared forum, conveying a message about the importance of cooperation and public service.

For the North Sumatra Provincial Government, openness to input and suggestions from various parties is part of its efforts to strengthen regional development. For PKS in North Sumatra, meanwhile, the new office can serve as a center for organizational consolidation, strengthening cadre training and expanding community services.

The meeting between Bobby Nasution, Almuzzammil Yusuf and the PKS leadership in North Sumatra during the inauguration underscored the existing dialogue between the government and the political party. If this communication continues to develop into concrete joint measures, the cooperation could support various efforts to improve public welfare in North Sumatra.

With the new North Sumatra DPTW-PKS office now operational, party officials and cadres have facilities that can better support their organizational activities. The next challenge is to ensure that these facilities generate programs and activities that provide tangible benefits to the community while contributing to the strengthening of development in North Sumatra.
