POLICE RAID DRUG HIDEOUT: Officers from the Kampung Rakyat Police Sector arrest two suspects during a raid at an oil palm plantation in Teluk Panji II Village, Labuhanbatu Selatan.

LABUHANBATU SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM The Kampung Rakyat Police Sector has dismantled a suspected drug hideout operating inside an oil palm plantation in Teluk Panji II Village, Kampung Rakyat District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, on Wednesday (May 21, 2026). Two men were arrested in connection with the distribution and use of methamphetamine (shabu).

The operation was initiated after local residents reported suspicious activities, including alleged drug transactions and consumption in the remote plantation area. Acting on the information, police immediately conducted an investigation before launching a targeted raid.

Around 11:00 a.m. local time, officers detained a suspicious individual in the plantation. The suspect was identified as JPM alias Jaro (49), a resident of Link II Indrapura Kota Village, Air Putih District, Batu Bara Regency.

Drugs and Evidence Recovered

During the search, officers discovered three plastic packets containing methamphetamine with a total gross weight of 0.47 grams. A mobile phone suspected to have been used for drug transactions was also seized.

Additional paraphernalia found at the scene indicated that the location was being used for both drug consumption and distribution activities, strengthening police suspicions that the plantation served as a hidden drug hub.
