He stressed that accurate and reliable data are essential for effective policymaking, highlighting the importance of honesty, precision, and integrity among enumerators.

Locally Based Deployment to Improve Efficiency

To enhance operational efficiency, field officers have been assigned according to their residential locations within designated working areas. This approach is expected to improve performance while strengthening accountability at the local level.

The regional government also pledged full logistical and institutional support throughout the census period. Coordination will be carried out down to village level to ensure comprehensive coverage of households and businesses.

The Regent further noted that census results will serve as a key reference for policy decisions over the next five to ten years.

"This census is not conducted every year. It must therefore be carried out with the utmost care and responsibility," he added.

Integrity as the Key to Success

Concluding his remarks, Asri Ludin Tambunan reiterated the importance of professionalism and honesty among all enumerators. Officers are required to record only factual data without manipulation or omission.

"Work honestly in accordance with your oath. Collect data thoroughly and accurately, both for individuals and businesses," he said.

With the launch of the 2026 Economic Census, the Deli Serdang government expects to obtain a reliable dataset to support sustainable and targeted regional development. (IDNC)
