DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM – The Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang, Lom Lom Suwondo, has emphasized that education plays a strategic role as the foundation for building a strong and competitive young generation. He delivered the statement during the grand Purnawiyata graduation ceremony of the Yayasan Perguruan Dwitunggal held at Grha Bhineka Perkasa Jaya, Lubuk Pakam District, on Saturday (May 30, 2026).
The Deputy Regent stressed that graduation is not the end of an educational journey, but rather the beginning of a new chapter for students to continue learning, develop their potential, and prepare themselves for future challenges."On behalf of the Government of Deli Serdang Regency, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all graduates. Continue learning, keep improving yourselves, and use your knowledge as a foundation to achieve your goals and serve society," he said.
Lom Lom Suwondo underlined that education is a key pillar in achieving a healthy, educated, prosperous, religious, and sustainable society in Deli Serdang. He also praised the contribution of Yayasan Perguruan Dwitunggal and its educators in shaping intelligent and character-driven students.
He reminded graduates to always respect their parents and teachers, while continuously using their knowledge for personal and professional growth. He also urged them to stay away from drugs, negative behavior, and harmful influences in an increasingly globalized world."The success you achieve today cannot be separated from the prayers and hard work of your parents and teachers. Respect them, and let your education be the foundation for your future," he added.
Chairman of Yayasan Perguruan Dwitunggal Tanjung Morawa, Dimas Thuntry Sukma Putra, also expressed his gratitude to all parties involved and congratulated the graduates for continuing their education to higher levels.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the North Sumatra Regional House of Representatives, Sutarto, praised the foundation's contribution to improving education quality and developing human resources in the province.The ceremony was attended by several officials, including Deli Serdang Council Member Paian Purba, Head of Social Affairs Division of the Regional Secretariat Faisal Rahman Panjaitan, Secretary of the Education Office Samsuar Sinaga, and Secretary of Tanjung Morawa District Fuad Ikhwan Hasibuan.
