BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Aceh Provincial Government has urged all Regional Work Units (SKPA) to accelerate the implementation of development programs and budget spending to ensure that the province's 2026 development targets are achieved on schedule.
Aceh Provincial Secretary M. Nasir made the call following encouraging progress in the province's budget realization performance. As of May 26, 2026, financial realization had reached 30.65 percent, equivalent to Rp3.555 trillion, of the total 2026 Aceh Regional Budget (APBA) amounting to Rp11.6 trillion.
Budget Realization Surpasses Target
According to Nasir, the current realization rate has exceeded the government's target of 29.23 percent set for the end of May 2026.
The achievement represents a positive variance of 1.42 percentage points above the planned target, reflecting solid progress in the province's fiscal performance during the first half of the year.
Despite the positive results, Nasir noted that several agencies and government offices still lag behind their budget realization targets and require immediate improvement.
"Accelerating budget realization is crucial to ensuring that development programs and public services are delivered effectively and on time," Nasir said.
Agencies Urged to Strengthen Coordination
To maintain the positive momentum, Nasir instructed all SKPA units to expedite ongoing projects and improve administrative processes related to budget utilization.
He emphasized that timely program implementation and efficient financial management are key factors in ensuring that all development initiatives can be completed according to schedule.
Nasir also called on regional agencies to enhance inter-agency coordination and optimize budget absorption, particularly in sectors that continue to record significant negative variances against their targets.
Aceh Targets 38.31 Percent Realization by June
Looking ahead, the Aceh Provincial Government has set a financial realization target of 38.31 percent by the end of June 2026.
To achieve this goal, all government agencies are expected to sustain the positive trend recorded over recent months and further improve their performance in executing development programs.
Nasir expressed confidence that the provincial administration would continue strengthening its effectiveness in delivering development projects and public services, ensuring that the benefits are felt directly by communities across Aceh. (IDNC)
