This commitment was highlighted during a meeting between Aceh Provincial Secretary M. Nasir and Mikhail Kuritsyn, representative of the Business Council of the Russian Federation, held at Keraton At The Plaza, Jalan MH Thamrin, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
The discussion marks a significant step in Aceh's broader strategy to strengthen global partnerships, particularly with countries possessing strong investment capabilities in energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development.He also highlighted Aceh's vast untapped potential in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, maritime economy, agriculture, and tourism, all of which require significant capital inflows for sustainable development.

This approach reflects Aceh's commitment to aligning economic growth with strengthening local expertise and workforce development.
Kuritsyn noted that the Russian side is open to exploring various cooperation models that can benefit both parties, with initial discussions expected to evolve into concrete investment projects.
From Russia's perspective, Aceh presents attractive opportunities, particularly in energy development, infrastructure expansion, and long-term strategic economic projects.
Both sides agreed to continue technical-level discussions, focusing on project identification, cooperation frameworks, and implementation plans.
