DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM - The Branch Scout Council (Kwartir Cabang/Kwarcab) of the Gerakan Pramuka in Deli Serdang Regency has achieved an outstanding accomplishment by securing the title of Best Contingent I at the 11th Regional Jamboree (Jamdasu XI) of the Gerakan Pramuka in North Sumatra 2026.
The award was presented during the closing ceremony of Jamdasu XI, which was held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Sibolangit Scout Campground in Deli Serdang Regency. North Sumatra Governor and Chairman of the Regional Advisory Council (Mabida) of the North Sumatra Gerakan Pramuka, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, personally presented the award.
The success of Kwarcab Deli Serdang was demonstrated not only through the achievement of being named the best contingent but also through numerous other accomplishments in various competitions held throughout the event. The Deli Serdang contingent won first place in the Mobile Legends e-sports competition, the Jamdasu XI mascot design competition by Fabian Vito, and the Jamdasu XI logo design competition by Rizky Aswar.
Fabian Vito and Rizky Aswar are members of Scout Group 061-062 under the Deli Serdang Regency Office of Water Resources, Highways and Construction, which operates within the Lubuk Pakam Scout Council (Kwartir Ranting).
The Deputy Regent of Deli Serdang and Deputy Chairman of the Deli Serdang Gerakan Pramuka Branch Advisory Council (Mabicab), Lom Lom Suwondo, expressed his appreciation to all participants, mentors and supervisors who contributed to the achievement.
According to him, the performance of Kwarcab Deli Serdang reflects the great potential of the region's younger generation to compete and achieve success in various fields.
"The achievements accomplished today show that the young generation of Deli Serdang has great potential to compete and succeed. This achievement is not the end of the journey, but rather the beginning of continued efforts to prove that Deli Serdang youth can become motivators and role models for other young generations," he said.
Lom Lom Suwondo stated that the achievement could not be separated from the continuous training and guidance provided by Scout mentors. In addition, parental support and the involvement of all dedicated parties also played an important role in the success.
"We hope young Scouts will continue to maintain their spirit of learning, discipline and solidarity so they can achieve even greater accomplishments in the future, including at the national level," he added.
The Chairman of the North Sumatra Regional Scout Council (Kwartir Daerah/Kwarda) of the Gerakan Pramuka, Dikky Anugerah Panjaitan, stated that Jamdasu XI 2026 carried the theme "Digital Transformation and Character Building."
The five-day event, held from July 8 to 12, 2026, was attended by 5,575 participants from all regencies and cities across North Sumatra.
Jamdasu XI marked the first implementation in which administration processes and participant verification were fully managed digitally through the Digi Jamdasu application. The adoption of this technology represents a new step toward making Scout activities more efficient and modern.
During the event, participants took part in various programs designed to strengthen character, skills and knowledge among the younger generation. The activities included religious programs, skills development and national education sessions, technology and digital media literacy, traditional games, environmental conservation programs, disaster preparedness education, and a friendship campfire.
Dikky Anugerah Panjaitan also announced that the North Sumatra Gerakan Pramuka would send a total of 1,039 participants to the 2026 National Jamboree.
In his speech at the closing ceremony of Jamdasu XI, North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution congratulated all participants who contributed to the success of the event.
Bobby Nasution specifically praised Kwarcab Deli Serdang for achieving the title of Best Contingent I. He also expressed appreciation to the ceremonial teams who successfully carried out their duties throughout Jamdasu XI.
As support for the achievements of young Scouts, the North Sumatra Provincial Government through the North Sumatra Gerakan Pramuka Kwarda expressed its commitment to supporting the participation of 19 outstanding ceremonial team members at the 2026 National Jamboree.
The North Sumatra Jamdasu XI 2026 became an important moment to strengthen character, friendship, creativity and achievement among Scouts across North Sumatra. The event also served as a strategic preparation stage for the 2026 National Jamboree.
Through various experiences and training processes during the event, participants are expected to apply values such as discipline, teamwork and leadership skills in their daily lives. (IDNC)
