BANDA ACEH | INDATANEWS.COM ~ Aceh Vice Governor, Fadhlullah, has attended a forum aimed at strengthening the people-centered economy, designed to support the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program following a disaster in Banda Aceh. The initiative highlights a strategic push to deepen collaboration between government, business actors, and the wider community in accelerating both economic recovery and food security for affected populations.
The program is seen as a key step in reinforcing post-disaster resilience while ensuring that recovery efforts directly benefit local economic ecosystems.Strengthening Collaboration for Post-Disaster Growth

According to him, recovery should not be limited to physical infrastructure but must also prioritize the revival of the local economy.
He urged policymakers to focus on empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs), cooperatives, and village-owned enterprises (BUMDes), ensuring that economic recovery is inclusive and sustainable.

Fadhlullah noted that the MBG program is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening community resilience, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
"Every rupiah invested in this program must deliver a dual impact—improving nutrition while simultaneously stimulating the local economy," he stated.He also called for stronger data systems and potential mapping of SMEs and cooperatives, digital integration of local food supply chains, and improved access to financing through regional banks and Islamic financial institutions.

The Vice Governor stressed the importance of capacity building for local entrepreneurs, particularly in management, product quality, and food safety, to enhance competitiveness in regional markets.
Read Also:As part of the event, stakeholders signed a memorandum of understanding reaffirming their commitment to supporting the MBG program in Aceh. Representatives from regional government bodies, institutions, and business sectors attended the forum to strengthen cross-sector collaboration.
Speakers included Director of Community Development and Participation of BGN Tengku Syahdana, Head of the BGN Aceh Regional Office Mustafa Kamal, and Chairman of MPU Aceh Tgk. H. Faisal Ali (Lem Faisal), among others.
The government hopes the strengthened collaboration will not only produce well-structured policies but also deliver tangible benefits for communities across villages in Aceh.
