LABUHANBATU | INDATANEWS.COM - Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan Fery Sahputra Simatupang attended the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Tentara Nasional Indonesia/TNI) at the headquarters of Military District Command (Makodim) 0209/Labuhanbatu on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The event was held at Makodim 0209/Labuhanbatu on Jalan Pramuka, Padang Matinggi, Rantau Utara District.Fery was accompanied by Secretary of the Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency Government M. Reza Pahlevi Nasution, Assistant for Economic Affairs Ralikul Rahman, and several heads of regional agencies. Commander of Military District Command 0209/Labuhanbatu Lieutenant Colonel of Cavalry Hanung Kaptiaji personally welcomed the Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency Government delegation.
On the occasion, Fery extended his congratulations on the 81st TNI anniversary. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation among the TNI, police, regional governments, and the community in maintaining security and stability in the region."Happy 81st anniversary to the TNI. The TNI is part of the people, and together with the people, we protect this region so that it remains safe and stable and can continue to develop," Fery Sahputra Simatupang said.
Fery said that a safe and stable region is an important factor in supporting development and ensuring the delivery of public services.
In his view, the regional government cannot maintain security and public order on its own. Therefore, coordination with the TNI, police, and community must continue to prevent potential security disturbances."Security and development cannot be pursued separately. Unity among institutions and the support of the community are needed so that every program can be implemented properly," he emphasized.
Fery expressed hope that relations between the Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency Government and the TNI would continue to be maintained. He also encouraged communication and cooperation among institutions to continue not only during commemorative events but also through various activities in the community.This year's 81st TNI anniversary celebration carried the theme, "A Strong TNI Together with the People for a Sovereign, Just and Prosperous Indonesia."
Deputy Regent of Labuhanbatu H. Jamri arrived with several regional officials and brought an anniversary cake for personnel of Military District Command 0209/Labuhanbatu.
The visit created a particularly warm atmosphere during the celebration. Soldiers, regional officials, and invited guests sang a birthday song together before the event continued with the cutting of the traditional tumpeng rice cone and a gathering.Jamri said the presentation of the anniversary cake was a form of appreciation from the Labuhanbatu Government and people to the TNI, particularly Military District Command 0209/Labuhanbatu.
"On behalf of the government and people of Labuhanbatu, we congratulate the TNI on its 81st anniversary. May the TNI continue to grow stronger, remain closer to the people, and continue to play an important role in safeguarding national unity and supporting the development of the nation," Jamri said.He also emphasized the importance of continuous communication between the regional government and the TNI. According to Jamri, harmonious relations between institutions can help create a stable security situation within the community.
In addition to Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan Fery Sahputra Simatupang and Deputy Regent of Labuhanbatu H. Jamri, Regent of Labuhanbatu Utara Dr. H. Hendri Yanto Sitorus, S.E., M.M., was also present together with Deputy Regent of Labuhanbatu Utara Samsul Tanjung.
Representatives of the TNI, police, and regional governments also attended the event, including the Deputy Chief of Labuhanbatu Police, Commander of Military Police Sub-Unit 1.1-2 Rantauprapat, Deputy Commander of Battalion TP 956/SBA, Company Commander of 126/KC, members of the Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Association of Branch XXXVI of Military District Command 0209/LB, as well as representatives of regional agencies from the three regencies.Regent of Labuhanbatu Utara Hendri Yanto Sitorus praised the TNI's efforts to safeguard the unity and integrity of the nation.

May your service continue to be a shield and a source of pride for all Indonesian people," Hendri said.He expressed hope that the TNI would continue to strengthen its capabilities and professionalism in carrying out its duties to safeguard Indonesia's unity and integrity.
Meanwhile, Commander of Military District Command 0209/Labuhanbatu Lieutenant Colonel of Cavalry Hanung Kaptiaji thanked the regional governments and all parties for their attendance and support for the 81st TNI anniversary celebration."We thank the regional governments for their presence and appreciation, as well as everyone who supported the implementation of this event," Hanung said.
Following the cutting of the tumpeng rice cone, the event continued with a gathering attended by representatives of regional governments, TNI and police personnel, and invited guests.The 81st TNI anniversary celebration thus became an important moment for regional governments across Labuhanbatu Raya to strengthen communication and coordination with the TNI, maintain security, and support the implementation of development programs in their respective regions.
