KALIMANTAN SELATAN | INDATANEWS.COM – North Sumatra rally driver Musa Rajekshah, widely known as Ijeck, secured fourth place in the Kejurnas Rally Banua 2026 held in South Kalimantan. The demanding round of the Indonesian National Rally Championship concluded on Sunday, May 10, 2026, and was widely regarded as one of the toughest stages on this year's calendar.
Ijeck, competing for the Blablabla Team, was in contention for a podium finish during parts of the race. However, a time penalty incurred during a checkpoint reporting at the Special Stage (SS) cost him crucial seconds, ultimately dropping him to fourth place.
"I have just finished the second round of the national rally in South Kalimantan. We ended up in fourth place. We actually should have been third, but we received a penalty," he said.
Despite the setback, Ijeck expressed satisfaction with his overall performance in a highly competitive field.

Challenging Terrain and New Driving Experience
The rally route itself proved to be a major test for all participants, with sandy and rapidly changing surface conditions adding to the difficulty.
"The stage here is truly exciting. There are high-speed special stages that I have never experienced before with my Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. At high speeds in fifth gear, I could really push the car. It was tight, slippery, fast, and demanding—but a great experience," he explained.
Focus Shifts to Upcoming Round in South Sumatra
Despite missing out on the podium, Ijeck remains optimistic and is already looking ahead to the next round in South Sumatra, where he hopes to achieve a stronger result.
"Hopefully this is a good start. In the fourth round in South Sumatra, we aim to do better," he said.

New Team Structure to Boost Competitiveness
During the event, Ijeck also introduced his new initiative, the Sumatera Rally Team, a collaboration that brings together drivers from across Sumatra, particularly Medan and Riau.
"The Sumatera Rally Team is newly formed. Drivers from Medan and Riau have come together. Usually, I race alone or with Musa Arjiansyah, but now we are united as two groups," he explained.
The initiative aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Sumatran drivers on the national rally stage.
Appreciation for Organizers and Team
Ijeck concluded by expressing gratitude to the organizers of the Kejurnas Rally Banua 2026 and his Blablabla Team for their strong support throughout the competition.
"Thank you to the organizers for running this event. I also thank my team for their maximum effort and support during the race," he said. (IDNC)
