DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Deli Serdang Regency government organized the Ramadan Safari 1447 H/2026 AD on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Baitul Mukmin Mosque along the Medan–Binjai Road Km 15,4 Sumber Melati Village, Sunggal District, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The event was led by Regent Asri Ludin Tambunan, accompanied by government officials, Forkopimda members, and local community representatives.
Ramadan Safari Strengthens Government-Public ConnectionRegent Asri Ludin highlighted that the Ramadan Safari aims to bring the government closer to the community and reinforce Islamic brotherhood (Ukhuwah Islamiyah).
"The Ramadan Safari is a vital opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the government and the public. This community spirit should not exist for just one or two months but must be nurtured continuously," said Asri Ludin.He added that the government's presence in local communities is intended to deliver tangible benefits, such as supporting mosques and assisting underprivileged citizens.
"Even if we cannot reach every region immediately, this process will continue gradually. We hope that all current and future initiatives will positively impact the people of Deli Serdang," he said.The Regent also urged residents to use the holy month of Ramadan for intensified prayers, expressing gratitude to Allah SWT, and strengthening the community spirit to promote regional development.

Hadian Firmansyah Reza Puspa, Chairman of the Baitul Mukmin Mosque Management Board (BKM), reported that the mosque is undergoing renovations, including the construction of a new fence.
"We hope the Deli Serdang government and relevant authorities will support the mosque so that community access becomes easier and more comfortable," Hadian stated.
Social Assistance and Ramadan Packages Distributed
The Ramadan Safari was attended by Dandim 0204/DS Letkol Arh Agung Pujiantoro SH, Camat Sunggal Danang Purnama Yuda SSTP MAP with the Forkopimcam, MUI Deli Serdang Chairman Drs H Kaya Hasibuan, Baznas Deli Serdang Chairman H Surya Putra, and other government officials.During the event, Regent Asri Ludin handed over two wheelchairs to citizens in need, Ramadan packages to BKM Baitul Mukmin, aid for the underprivileged, and school supplies for children from low-income families.
