DELI SERDANG | INDATANEWS.COM ~ The Regent of Deli Serdang, Asri Ludin Tambunan, has issued a firm ultimatum to the management of Patar Asih Hospital and Thongs Inn Kualanamu. During an unannounced inspection on March 3, 2026, he emphasized the strict enforcement of all legal regulations.
Together with an integrated team from the district administration, the Regent focused on labor law compliance, minimum wage regulations, and the completeness of operating permits.

The inspection began at Patar Asih Hospital, prompted by public complaints regarding potential labor law violations. Concerns include suspicions that healthcare workers are being paid below the regional minimum wage (UMK) and that working hours may not comply with legal standards.
"High-quality healthcare must fully comply with all applicable laws," stressed Asri Ludin Tambunan.

Meanwhile, the Regent instructed his team to ensure that administrative processes are conducted transparently and efficiently, guaranteeing legal certainty for businesses.

Heightened Oversight in the Hotel Sector
Following the hospital visit, the inspection team continued to Thongs Inn Kualanamu, where the Regent also stressed the importance of full compliance with licensing requirements. Businesses with direct public interaction carry a special responsibility for service quality and legal adherence.
The district government announced plans to intensify supervision in strategically important economic sectors. The goal is to protect workers' rights, ensure investment security, and sustainably improve the quality of public services.
The Regent highlighted the national development program initiated by Prabowo Subianto, promoting the "Indonesia Aman, Sehat, Resik, and Indah (ASRI)" initiative. Hospitals, hotels, restaurants, clinics, and eventually industrial companies are expected to strictly follow legal regulations.
A Clear Signal for Stricter Administrative Standards
This ultimatum is part of a broader strategy by the Deli Serdang district government to strengthen permit oversight and elevate public service quality standards.
