ACEH TENGAH | INDATANEWS.COM – The Aceh Tengah Police Department intensified joint night patrols in several vulnerable areas across Aceh Tengah Regency to prevent illegal street racing and maintain public security and order during the early hours of Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The operation involved personnel from the Traffic Police Unit, Sat Samapta, and officers from the Bebesen, Kebayakan, and Lut Tawar police sectors. The patrol was led directly by IPTU Musmulyadi along with members of the Pamapta unit and other functional police units within the Aceh Tengah Police jurisdiction.Patrol Preparation and Security Strategy
Read Also:Before the operation began, all personnel gathered for a coordination assembly at the Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters. During the briefing, officers discussed operational readiness, security procedures, and patrol strategies for the overnight operation.
Police teams then monitored several locations previously identified as hotspots for illegal street racing and other public disturbances. The patrol covered Jalur Dua Kebet, Mongal Simpang Wariji, Belang Kolak Dua, the old terminal area, Jalan Lintang, Simpang Empat, downtown Takengon, and the Lut Tawar district area.
Several operational vehicles from the Traffic Police, Sat Samapta, Pamapta, and participating police sectors were deployed to support mobility throughout the patrol activities.

Preventive Measures Until Early Morning
In addition to monitoring vulnerable areas, officers also encouraged residents to actively participate in maintaining public security and order within their communities.Aceh Tengah Police Chief AKBP Muhamad Taufiq stated that the routine night patrols are part of the police's preventive measures to curb illegal street racing and traffic violations before they occur.

Situation Remains Safe and Under ControlThroughout the operation, officers reported no incidents of illegal street racing in the monitored areas. Authorities confirmed that the overall security situation within the Aceh Tengah Police jurisdiction remained safe, orderly, and under control.
