SIGLI | INDATANEWS.COM - The spirit of service and appreciation for the history of the struggle of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) was clearly reflected at the Pidie Police Headquarters. Pidie Police Chief AKBP Jaka Mulyana, S.I.K., M.I.K., personally led the Hari Juang Polri 2026 ceremony on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the parade ground of the Pidie Police Headquarters.

The ceremony, which began at 7:00 a.m. WIB, was attended by senior officers of the Pidie Police, chiefs of police stations in the affiliated districts, officers, and all personnel of the Pidie Police. All participants followed each stage of the ceremony with solemnity. The event served as a moment to commemorate the history of Polri's struggle while reinforcing the spirit of service to the nation and society.

During the ceremony, Pidie Police Chief AKBP Jaka Mulyana served as the inspector of the ceremony. The Head of the Personnel Division of the Pidie Police, Kompol Pitriadi, S.H., served as the ceremony officer. Ipda Riski Putra Mulia, S.H., Head of the Traffic Police Operations Unit of the Pidie Police, served as the ceremony commander.

Polri's History of Struggle Takes Center Stage

One of the key elements of the Hari Juang Polri 2026 ceremony was the reading of a brief history of Hari Juang Polri. Kaurbinopsnal of the Pidie Police Community Development Unit, Iptu Muhammad Ayyub, S.E., read the historical account as part of efforts to once again recall the Police's history of struggle and the values underpinning the service of Polri personnel.

Following the reading of the brief history, participants took part in the reading of the Police Proclamation text. The sequence reflected an appreciation of history while providing an opportunity to reflect on the spirit of struggle that forms one of the foundations of police service.

The ceremony proceeded in an orderly and dignified manner from beginning to end. It opened with the singing of the Polri March, followed by a salute to the ceremony inspector and a report from the ceremony commander. Participants then observed a moment of remembrance and silence before the central part of the event began.

The appointed officers subsequently read the brief history of Hari Juang Polri and the Police Proclamation text. The ceremony continued with the singing of Andhika Bhayangkari and the Polri Hymn before concluding with a prayer.

The presence of senior officers, chiefs of police stations in the affiliated districts, officers, and all personnel in the ceremony also demonstrated the unity of the entire Pidie Police family. Such solidarity is an important element in supporting the implementation of police duties, particularly in maintaining security and public order.

Reinforcing the Spirit of Service

The Hari Juang Polri commemoration was not merely a ceremonial event. For personnel of the Pidie Police, the occasion served as a reminder that every police officer must continue to uphold the values of service, discipline, and integrity, as well as the commitment to providing the best possible service to the public.

The values of struggle that form part of Polri's history are expected to remain alive in the daily performance of police duties. Police officers are not only expected to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations. They must also be able to strengthen public trust through professional, humane, and responsible conduct.

This spirit is increasingly important because police duties are directly connected to the lives of the people. The presence of police officers among the community is expected to provide a sense of security while helping maintain a stable and orderly security and public order situation, known as Kamtibmas.

Through the Hari Juang Polri 2026 commemoration, the Pidie Police once again affirmed its commitment to using the history and values of the Police struggle as an inspiration for carrying out its daily duties. This spirit is expected to motivate all personnel to provide the best possible service to the community.

Maintaining Public Trust

Hari Juang Polri also provided all personnel with an opportunity to reflect once again on their responsibilities as members of Polri. Serving the community requires not only the ability to perform police duties but also the determination to uphold integrity and maintain public trust.

"The spirit of Hari Juang Polri reminds all personnel to continue providing their best service, maintaining public trust, and being present as protectors, guardians, and servants of the community," reflected the spirit embodied in the event.

The Pidie Police reaffirmed its commitment to bringing this spirit into the daily performance of its duties within its jurisdiction. By maintaining internal solidarity and continuously improving the quality of its services, the Pidie Police seeks to provide security and optimal police services to the community.

The Hari Juang Polri 2026 commemoration was therefore more than an annual ceremonial agenda. It provided an opportunity to remember the struggles of the past, strengthen solidarity among police personnel, and reaffirm Polri's commitment to remaining present in the community as protectors, guardians, and servants of the people.
