JAMBI REGIONAL POLICE DISTRIBUTE SOCIAL ASSISTANCE: The Jambi Regional Police Public Relations Division hands over food supplies and financial assistance to children at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage in Lebak Bandung, Jambi, on Monday, 19 October 2026, as part of the 75th anniversary of the Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division.

JAMBI | INDATANEWS.COM - The Jambi Regional Police have provided food supplies and financial assistance to children at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage in Lebak Bandung, Jambi, as part of the 75th anniversary of the Indonesian National Police's Public Relations Division (Humas Polri) in 2026. The social initiative took place on Monday, 19 October 2026.

The initiative reflects the police force's commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community and strengthening public trust. Beyond their responsibilities for maintaining security and public order, the police aim to build closer relationships with residents through practical assistance for those facing difficult circumstances.

The donated supplies included rice, cooking oil, flour, sugar, milk and eggs. Financial assistance was also provided to help the orphanage meet its day-to-day operating costs.

Food and Financial Assistance for Children

The donations were intended to help meet the children's daily needs and support the continued operation of the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage. The visit also gave police officers an opportunity to spend time with the children and offer encouragement for their education and future aspirations.

Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Widodo, through the head of the Jambi Regional Police Public Relations Division, Police Commissioner Erlan Munaji, said the initiative reflected the principle of "the police serving alongside the community". He added that the activity formed part of the 2026 anniversary celebrations.

"This activity demonstrates the Indonesian National Police's care for the community. As we mark the 75th anniversary of the National Police Public Relations Division, we want to show that the police are always there for the people. This social initiative at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage is one example. Through the assistance provided, we hope to support both the children and the carers who look after them," Erlan said.

The initiative highlights the role of community engagement in police work. By reaching out to different groups, including children living in orphanages, the police hope to strengthen public relationships and encourage greater solidarity.

Encouraging Children to Pursue Their Dreams

Alongside the distribution of donations, Erlan encouraged the children to approach their daily lives with confidence, make good use of their time and remain committed to their education.

"We want to encourage the children here to make the most of each day, study hard and take part in positive activities. Set yourselves ambitious goals and start preparing now to make your dreams a reality. Never give up learning or developing your abilities," he said.

His message underlined the importance of supporting children beyond their immediate material needs. Personal attention, encouragement and access to education can help build confidence and give young people better prospects for the future.

The Jambi Regional Police Public Relations Division hopes the children will continue developing their abilities, remain enthusiastic about learning and pursue their ambitions despite any challenges they may face.

Masks Distributed to Promote Health

At the end of the visit, the police public relations team also distributed face masks to the children and carers at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage. The measure complemented the food and financial assistance by promoting personal protection and health awareness.

The combination of essential supplies, financial support, encouragement and face masks formed part of a broader effort to contribute to the community's well-being. The visit also provided an opportunity for officers to strengthen their engagement with local residents and community organisations.

As the Indonesian National Police's Public Relations Division marks its 75th anniversary in 2026, the initiative at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage reinforces its commitment to working alongside the public. Through practical assistance and direct engagement, the Jambi Regional Police aim to promote community solidarity and a stronger spirit of mutual support. (IDNC)
