MEDAN | INDATANEWS.COM – Governor of North Sumatra, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, has urged the Regional Office of the Financial Services Authority, OJK North Sumatra Regional Office, to strengthen its support in accelerating the implementation of Indonesia's national "Three Million Homes" program, one of the key priorities of the central government.
The appeal was made during an official meeting between Bobby and the leadership of OJK North Sumatra at the Governor's Office in Medan on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. He emphasized the importance of close coordination between the regional government and the financial sector to speed up housing provision for the public.

Strengthening Cross-Sector Collaboration
Bobby stated that the success of the Three Million Homes program requires active participation from multiple stakeholders, particularly the financial sector under OJK supervision. He stressed that cross-sector synergy is essential to ensure the program's effectiveness.
"As this is a central government program supported by regional governments, we hope OJK can help accelerate its implementation. We are also actively involved in supporting the Three Million Homes initiative," he said.
He added that the North Sumatra Provincial Government has prepared housing loan subsidy schemes (KPR) to support the program. However, several challenges remain that require stronger coordination with OJK.

Proposal for a Regional Coordination Forum
Bobby also proposed the establishment of a coordination forum involving regional heads and the financial sector in North Sumatra. The forum would serve as a strategic platform to channel regional issues and align development programs more effectively.
"This is important so that grassroots feedback can be heard directly. It will also help synchronize government and economic sector programs earlier, making implementation more efficient," he explained.
OJK Reaffirms Commitment to Cooperation
Head of OJK North Sumatra, Triyoga Laksito, reaffirmed the agency's commitment to strengthening collaboration with regional governments across the province.
He stated that OJK will continue aligning its programs with the provincial, district, and city governments while also evaluating existing gaps to improve cooperation.
"We are obliged to align our programs with provincial as well as district and city governments. Any shortcomings will be addressed to further strengthen future cooperation," he said. (IDNC)
